Pictures!
Here is a quick preview of our Tet pictures. This year was tiring (as always), but not as bad as other years. We did a lot of the paperwork this time, as opposed to running around like crazy trying to fix everything that goes wrong with the vendors' booths.
I'll will be MIA for a few weeks, so I won't be posting during that time. When I'm back, I'll have all of our pictures up in a slideshow accessible from here.
The Front Gate of Hội Tết, Monday morning. It had rained the night before so we were a bit concerned, but it turned out great.
A new addition this year – street signs! They're named after streets in Vietnam.
The cottage in Làng Việt Nam (Vietnam Cultural Village), an re-inactment of the countryside in Vietnam.
A merchant's boat, probably on its way to the chợ nổi (floating market). These boats are still in use around Cần Thơ and other delta regions.
A quick thrust of the camera behind the netting snatched a peep of the Nước Mía Viễn Đông operations (Far East Sugarcane Juice).
A fancy headdress found in the highlands of Vietnam. JK! It's just ops waiting for something to do (that means everything was running smoothly. Good!)
